X5-w Pager

The X5-w is a pager specifically designed for emergency services personnel who must be able to use their pager at all times, even under extreme conditions. It is very tough - it has a bright screen that can be seen through smoke and dust, a loud alert that can be heard amidst chaos, and simple pronounced buttons for ease of use, even with gloved hands. The X5-w is an exact solution to the demands of emergency services personnel for a compact, resilient, waterproof and flexible pager that can deliver informative, crystal clear information to crucial personel.
Sensitive
The X5-w is a highly sensitive pager, at all baud rates. It is rated at 3.3μV/m at 512 baud and 5 μV/m at 1200 baud.
Rechargeable
The X5-w comes with an inductive rechargeable battery - just pop the unit on the charger receptacle and it recharges or tops up the charge. Environmentally sound by eliminating batteries in land fill, and provides up to ten days usage on a single charge..
Tough
The X5-w is built tough - it is made of almost indestructible Zytel™. It can withstand a drop onto concrete of up to 2 metres. It has side grips to ensure that it doesn't slip out of your hands, even when wearing gloves.
Over the Air Programming
The X5-w can be programmed over the air, configuring profiules, capcodes and many other features.
Waterproof
The X5-w is waterpoof to IP67 and IP66 on the Ingress scale - this means it can be immersed in water to a depth of 1 metre, and it can be subjected to jets and sprays of water. At last emergency services personnel can literally use their pager anywhere.
Encryption
The X5-w comes with an option for securing your network messages with industry standard encryption and key exchange - protecting private messages from prying eyes.
Capcodes
The X5-w provides unrivalled flexibility by delivering 128 capcodes in POCSAG or
32 in FLEX, and enabling these to be programmed over the air.
Flexible
The X5-w supports frequency and baud rate switching between alternative industry standard protocols of POCSAG and FLEX.
Colour
To accurately alert and inform users, the X5-w has a large, very bright high resolution screen that can display over 300 characters, coloured icons and alerts, images and maps.
Reliable
The X5-w is rigorously tested, and is made of the highest quality componentry and has been certified by a range of safety authorities for use by emergency services personnel.
