Infostream is particularly excited about this version of firmware as it not only has improved functionality, but has been given an entirely new look and user interface. Based on feedback we have received from our users, infostream has developed a new sleek user interface with improved features. Including: 128 X 4 RICs (512 unique addresses): More available RICs than any other pager in the world. Larger and clearer fonts: The most critical time for emergency personnel to be able to read messages received on their pager is during times where there will be elements that can visually impair a pager screen. Whether it be smoke, wind, glare or you simply don’t have your glasses, infostream have created a function to have all your messages largely displayed to be easily read. Unread message indicators: Now displayed from the home page, you will be able to see if you have not opened any messages sent to your pager, and which mailbox they are in. UI improvements: The user experience has been dramatically improved by making small changes throughout the entire functionality of the X5. Because it’s such a customisable pager we were able to take our customers suggestions and experiences and bring them to this firmware release. Infostream is particularly excited about this version of firmware as it not only has improved functionality, but has been given an entirely new look and user interface.

![]() Sigtec Releases Case Study on Mobilising Process Information in Biochemical PlantIn this case study Sigtec and TQS demonstrate how the integration of process information in a modern biochemical facility can provide the ability to manage and mobilise the facility's alarm handling functions in a central location, and then to alter crucial staff through the use of Infostream X5-i digital pagers combined with Tetra portable radios. Originally the digital Tetra radios were expected to be the primary notification tool, with paging as a secondary system.
